Movie Review: Jurassic World

Title: Jurassic World
Director: Colin Trevorrow
Time: 124 minutes
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
Release Date: 12 June 2015 (USA)

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitors' interest, which backfires horribly.

It's not often that I'm inspired to write a review for a movie. Honestly, I can say that in 10 years of blogging I've never written a movie review (unless you want to count this very short, very early post about Clue). But something about Jurassic World makes me think maybe I should. I've tried summing up my feelings on this movie, but haven't been able to adequately put them together. Maybe this format will allow me to.

1. Alexander

2. Babel

3. Blood Diamond

4. Bridge to Terabithia

*Yes, I buy movies without watching them. Family Video and their 3 for $21 previously viewed movies almost makes me. LOL

Clue (1985)

I had an on-line movie night last night with Kat to watch this movie. She was amazed that I'd never seen it. And I have to say after watching it, so was I.

It's got a great cast including Tim Curry (who I absolutely love), Christopher Lloyd, and Madeline Khan to name a few.

Six people are invited to a strange house, where they're greeted by the butler Wadsworth (Curry), and then are expected to find out who done it when one of the guests turn up dead.

I have to say Tim Curry makes this movie. It was hilarious watching the guests run around trying to figure out the murder mystery - that we all love doing with the board game Clue.

And the three endings to finish out the movie are absolutely awesome.

I'm glad I watched it, and now will be adding it to my To Be Bought list.
